Types of data collected

As the owner of domain names including those at http:// (hereinafter “the Website”) BAG SpA uses the Website to provide information on the company and/or its products and to collect personal data.

Therefore, according to the provisions of the Privacy Code, BAG SpA., as the Data Controller (hereinafter “the Data Controller”) provides the following information on the handling of personal data of users who browse the Website (navigation data) and of users who send their data through email messages and/or complete forms required to access restricted areas within the Website or to receive the newsletter published by the Data Controller.

This Privacy Code is provided only for the Website and the actions performed by BAG SpA also through its personal data handling operators and not for other websites visited by the user through links and/or third party websites.

1. Types of data handled

1.1 Navigation data

Digital systems and programmes required for Website operation automatically and inevitably record data (when IP are used) that may lead to user identification when associated with other data. These data may be used only to obtain statistical information on Website use and to ensure its proper functioning. Where expressly requested, these data may be used by the Authorities to ascertain responsibility in case of cybercrime against the Website and/or third parties, in accordance with the provisions of the competent Authorities.

1.2 Data voluntarily provided by individual users

Personal data provided by individual users by sending email messages, interacting with the Website, requesting services provided by the Website, completing forms to access restricted Website areas. In both cases, personal data handling will be limited to shared data

Data will be handled both manually and digitally for the following purposes

  • operational management of the Website navigation and related access data;
  • safety management of Website data;
  • marketing surveys and statistics
  • personnel recruitment

Additionally, with the user’s own voluntary and optional consent, the Data Controller may handle data for purposes of individual and group profiling and for marketing purposes, e.g. communication via newsletter, email and/or SMS of information and/or updates on activities, products, events and initiatives organised by the Owner and related invitations. The user may choose to deny consent to the latter type of personal data handling and stop receiving commercial information and content.

3. Personal data storage

The personal data collected will be stored and handled by an electronic system managed by BAG SpA and located in the BAG SpA headquarters. The other companies of the BAG SpA group, appointed as Data Controller, may and will be involved in personal data handling of Website management and related services and functions.

4. Data communication

The data will be communicated to other companies of the BAG SpA group and to professionals, independent partners, service companies and/or third parties who collaborate with the Owner in the management of operations. With the express consent of the user, data may be transferred outside the country to other companies of the BAG SpA located in countries outside the European Union. In any case if personal data are transferred to a country outside the EU, the principles of the Privacy Code will apply. Subjects receiving the user’s personal data may handle them as Owners, Data Controllers and/or manager, as the case may be. 5. Automatic data collection

The Website uses temporary and permanent cookies. Temporary cookies are deleted automatically upon leaving the Website. Permanent cookies, on the other hand, are stored on the user’s hard drive until they are deleted. Cookies make it easier for users to visit the Website and/or enable tracking the visit of various pages/sections of the Website. In any case, cookies will neither be used to collect personal data or information on user navigation to other websites. The information collected through cookies will be used for statistical purposes only. Users may opt out of using and storing cookies at any time by changing their browser settings, although the experience of and interaction with the Website may be affected.

6. Data transfer

With the exception of navigation data (collected automatically by the system), data transfer by the user is required for Website registration and access to services and functions offered by the Website and restricted areas. The refusal to provide said data will result in denied access to and use of said services and functions.

The data transfer for the development of marketing activities is always voluntary and optional. The refusal to transfer data for said activity will not affect in any way the user’s ability to use the services and functions offered by the Website.
